Well, this is going to be a lengthy post.

First of all, I swear to fucking god that K-ON!! is the only show that has so many problems relating to the raws. God dammit, I have to spend half my time trying to get a working raw 8/16 weeks so far!

Second, about HOTD: Well, sorry that I shot down so many of your expectations. However, the subs by gg are better – yes, our translator is helping them translate the show (somewhat, I guess). So don’t give me that BUT YOU ARE BETTER CRAP. Oh, for 720p – it was an upscale. Playing the 480p fullscreen yields the exact same result as playing the 720p fullscreen. YES IT’S A FUCKING PLACEBO.

Ok, back to business. Jesus, the coder, has worked v. hard on the player and made A LOT of improvements on the player.
Some of which include:
- Seeking
- Better/more accurate subtitle rendering (timing is fixed, I guess?)
- New UI
- SCREENSHOT FUNCTION (personally I think this is quite awesome)
- Upgraded volume control

And this is his to-do list:
- Chapters
- Improve the subtitle rendering
- Improve the UI
- Save video as… function?

As usual, please post feedback/comments/bugfixes about it! We find them very useful as it might inspire us in some way!

God dammit, you fags have no idea how bitter I am spending my quality vacation time subbing. To fucking top that, I have to do it on a laptop. Anyway whatever, can’t get that mad at cute girls doing cute things.

Back to business. Since WE (FANSUBBING CARTEL) AIM TO BE PIONEERS IN FANSUBBING, we’ve developed an online streaming player. Well, “developed”. It’s still in beta stage but this is what we believe to be streaming done right.

The video streamed is the EXACT SAME VIDEO used as the release. Byte to byte, H.264 stream. Yes, that means there is NO HARDSUBBING. Our player will render softsubs and .ass tags as it should with MPC-HC & VSFILTER, etc. Since it’s in beta stage, some tags might not be working as intended. However, it should be 80% 60% good to go.

What does this mean?

This means you can download and watch (stream) the exact same quality without waiting for your download to finish. So give it a try and give some feedback!

So apparently my flight back to HK is @ 1pm instead of 1am. That means in order to avoid jetlag, I’d have to stay up the entire flight, which lasts around 13 hours or so?

Well, I have a PSP and a UL30 laptop. What should I do on the flight?

Marathon anime or some TV show? Play a visual novel? (lol) Play games on my PSP? If so, what?

Since there’s no transport streams out there, it’ll be delayed till tomorrow.

d/w it’s just a one time thing. 3 of the people I know didn’t cap it (2 thought it was only 13 episodes so they stopped), and I’m still waiting for a reply on the last one. And no, none on PD. Hell, there isn’t even a shitty share raw!

And I guess I’ll keep HSOTD. I just hope it won’t get in my way of maintaining a 4.0 @ college.
