So I have class and in order to do Ano Natsu I have to do this shit in a public cafe; however, I forgot to bring my earphones today. I was like, okay, I’ll play it off cool and pretend to be normal. Then magi-fucking-ly a (female) friend came over to the table I was sitting at on the day I have to fansub without earphones to sit down.

Also, it’s worthy to note that they take god knows how long to sub one episode. MORE PEOPLE = FASTER, NO?

Obviously having a much bigger group is a total waste of time, as Jaka pointed out.
Look, being a team is not as easy as doing it alone. When you look at a TL and say “Hey, this is so localized it’s lost its meaning!”, another editor might well yell back “No way dickhead” and they both have a massive butthurt debate on localization vs transliteration.
Unless they have a very clear chain of command that does not equate everyone’s opinions as equal, it’s going to be a really, really big waste of time. Obviously anyone who thinks otherwise have NEVER spent a lot of time on group projects.
