Well, this is going to be a lengthy post.
First of all, I swear to fucking god that K-ON!! is the only show that has so many problems relating to the raws. God dammit, I have to spend half my time trying to get a working raw 8/16 weeks so far!
Second, about HOTD: Well, sorry that I shot down so many of your expectations. However, the subs by gg are better – yes, our translator is helping them translate the show (somewhat, I guess). So don’t give me that BUT YOU ARE BETTER CRAP. Oh, for 720p – it was an upscale. Playing the 480p fullscreen yields the exact same result as playing the 720p fullscreen. YES IT’S A FUCKING PLACEBO.
Ok, back to business. Jesus, the coder, has worked v. hard on the player and made A LOT of improvements on the player.
Some of which include:
- Seeking
- Better/more accurate subtitle rendering (timing is fixed, I guess?)
- New UI
- SCREENSHOT FUNCTION (personally I think this is quite awesome)
- Upgraded volume control
And this is his to-do list:
- Chapters
- Improve the subtitle rendering
- Improve the UI
- Save video as… function?
As usual, please post feedback/comments/bugfixes about it! We find them very useful as it might inspire us in some way!

Why the hell is the JavaScript written so that it works only with Flash Player 10.1.53? I’ve got 64-bit 10.0.45 on 64-bit Linux and it works like a charm (save for fullscreen mode) when I’ll open it straight through .swf URL, but the JS won’t let it load through the “official” link. A little disclaimer like “you don’t have the latest Flash Player, it may explode and burn your kawaii neko and I won’t give a shit” would be enough.
Not that I really care, since I prefer downloads, but… well, I’m just a nerd and like to say strange comments here and there from time to time.
Anyway, great job, both on the player and on the subs. I wonder when was the point where the second season far surpassed the first…

ctrl + f goes into fullscreen, but can’t take you out of fullscreen?
When you exit fullscreen, the window seems to lose focus or something. keyboard shortcuts won’t work until you click on the window to regain focus.
if the video is paused and you seek, whatever subtitle was being displayed will stay on the screen until you unpause.
when you take a screenshot, the window that pops up isn’t quite large enough to display the image at full size. (this isn’t important at all, but it seems like you intended to show the image at full size)
the speaker icon doesn’t change to indicate when the audio is muted
video doesn’t auto-play?

WOW, this player is really turning out to be something awesome. Can’t wait for the subtitle rendering to truly be sharp when you maximize. All those other features were pretty awesome. Especially the snapshot! The save video function once you finish watching is what I am waiting for the most. Since I like hard copies and waiting for a download (2 minutes) is too long. i honestly thought this was going to be the episode where we hear mugis new song that we first heard about in like episode 3, or where we at least get to see them practice for the upcoming school festival. instead we get another episode where absolutely nothing happened. no character development, no progress in the story, no memorable scenes.

we already know yui is like a 6 year old, playing with stickers and shyt… ritsu needs help with her homework, mio helps ritsu with her homework, mugi is ditzy, and azusa wants to practice. each character already had their own spotlight episode, where we got to know more about them or whatever. geezuz christ, if the studio needs to produce some filler episodes to wait for the manga storyline to progress, they could make up an interesting plot, and not feed the fans a masked recap episode. ohh and just watched teh episode preview, and whatdya know, the music room isnt going to be available, i have a feeling that the next episode will have them running around in circles trying to come up with a plan for 20 minutes…

I thought people would know what to expect already with K-On. It’s not supposed to have a strong story. It’s supposed to be about the friendship and fun times these 5 girls have during high school. In other words, like many have said, it’s a show about cute girls doing cute things. That’s not a bad thing imo, as long as there are scenes that make me laugh.
Much like Sayonara Zetsubou-Sensei and Lucky Star, No?

only had a litl problem with the rendering of the subs when i went into full screen for the first time it actually rendered the subs with the border between my two screens as center instead of the center of the current screen. (prolly needs a lil fix to compensate for multi screen setups)
